Hot off the keyboard....

Hi Everyone!
I want to welcome you to my page and please bear with me as I am a beginner-level blogger so I can promise you pics and ramblings but I can't promise you quality yet. So now I'm finally in Beijing thanks to a pretty smooth plane ride which actually served goot food! I'm living on campus at the Capital University of Economics and Business along with 4 other ESL teachers - one girl from London, England, another girl from Boston and 2 guys from the states who haven't arrived yet. So I realized I had to represent and thus put up my Canadian flag (thanks Erin M!) by the window to show my patriotic pride. Me and my neighbor (the girl from england - Daliana) have been doing alot of exploring from day one...so far we've been to the supermarket (spent 3 hours there trying to figure out what things actually were), the post office, restaurants, banks, and a really nice bar district where there are actual couches outside the bars for you to sit and chill. We met this guy that also lives in our dorm and is actually a student from Kentucky who is studying chinese. He spent the whole night speaking chinese to the locals but as long as he kept the free drinks coming, we weren't complaining! Well that's it for now...I promise you, I will post pictures next blog.
Cheers, Mare

Hi .. I've recently become interested in doing something like this, and found your blog on google. Would you mind if I asked you a few questions about how you got started teaching there, and about the requirements if you've got a few minutes some time? My email is tooblekane @ gmail.com, and I'd really appreciate it if you could help me in the right direction if possible.

Thanks,
Tim
